Conventional Fire Alarms are most suitable for smaller buildings such as convenience stores, retail outlets, pubs, restaurants, crèches and most buildings with a limited number of rooms.

Conventional Fire Alarms would be considered the most straightforward type of fire detection systems available on the market. This type of system will detect a fire and alert people located in the building with both an audible and visual alarm.

However, conventional systems will not identify which detector/room activated the fire alarm control panel, but will alert you to which zone has activated the system.

Conventional fire alarms have less capital costs versus addressable fire alarm systems and are more straightforward to install. Effectively, this system is an advanced warning system built on zones which are hardwired back to the fire alarm panel. On detection of a fire, a conventional fire alarm system will identify the zone or the area but not the exact location.
